The Perks of Being a Wallflower L.A. Premiere - September 9th, 2012
|What you will need:
Powdered Blush in Light Pink
Two Eyeshadows in Brown (Light & Slightly Darker)
Black Liquid Eyeliner
Concealer (if needed)
Step 1: First prime your skin with a face mosturizer. This will keep your foundation from smearing and filling your pores. Also dab some mosturizer over your lips to prep them for the red lipstick.
Then apply your foundation. You can use your fingers, a foundation brush, or a make-up sponge. I opted for my fingers. But any of these options work just fine.
Apply your blush lightly. Emma only has a small amount of color on her cheeks. Follow the natural flow of your cheekbones. Then powder your face to set your foundation and blush.
Emma's eye make-up was very minimal. First use the lighter of the two shades of brown. Apply this color all over your lid. Then take the darker brown and apply it through the socket of your eyes. Do this very lightly! You can use the tip of a pointed brush to make it easier if you need to. Now take the darker brown and blend it up to the top of your eye. Only blend upwards! Do not blend down! You want the lighter brown to stand out! Now take the lighter color again and run it under your lower lashes at the bottom of your eye.
Next use the black liquid liner on the waterline of the top lid only. Finally apply a lot of mascara to the top and bottom lashes. I used three coats!
And finally your lips. Apply your lipstick. You can use a lip brush if you want.
If you have fairer skin like Emma does look for a red-blue lipstick. If you have darker skin use a red-orange lipstick. If you want to make your lipstick last longer you can use a lip liner that matches your lipstick color as closely as possible. Color your lips completely with the liner and then apply the lipstick over it.
